The 19th International Pediatric Brain Tumor Symposium Family Day (ISPNO2020 Family Day)

Pediatric cancer is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality among children in Japan, and pediatric brain tumor is one of the most intractable diseases. The International Symposium on Pediatric Neuro Oncology (ISPNO) is the largest international academic meeting of pediatric brain tumor specialists.

In Japan, information on pediatric brain tumors is scarce due to the rarity of the disease, but various organizations related to pediatric brain tumors have formed a network and are working to exchange information, develop treatments, and improve the quality of life. In conjunction with ISPNO2020, we have organized ISPNO2020 Family Day, a gathering of patients’ families.

After two postponements due to the COVID-19, we are pleased to announce that ISPNO2020 Family Day will be held online on Saturday, October 30, 2021. All programs will be conducted in English and Japanese with simultaneous interpretation to encourage participation from around the world.

The purpose of this Family Day is to exchange information with pediatric brain tumor patients and their families, medical professionals, and supporters. We hope that this Family Day will strengthen the bonds between you and your family members, and that it will lead to better treatment development and support systems.
